on getting mugged
well not literally. it's just i was caught off guard, or maybe i was helpless. i was driving on my way to school along p. ocampo, about to cross the osmena highway, when a street vendor waved at me and offered me some barquillos. (this is an ilonggo specialty better paired with ice cream which mom used to bring us home when we were young) wearing my shades, i just shook my head because i am not really interested. but this guy was persistent. since there was traffic at that time, this vendor had the chance to come nearer. he was talking to me beside my window but i kept shooking my head, like i really do not like it. then he knocked, asking me to pull my window down, so i did a bit. and then he said, "bili ka na ng isa, lagi ka naman bumibili sa akin eh. kilala kita, sa la salle ka di ba?" but for almost 3 years that i've been going to school, i swear that i've never bought anything from these vendors. especially that area's near the PNR. he further adds, "di ba sakin ka bumiili ng bayabas?" haha. i almost laughed. i never eat raw guava. and i only have a taste of it in starbucks. oh well, but i don't have money. what he did, he dropped his product like he was inserting something in a pigeon hole. gosh. pissed, i asked him how much it is, P58, for 8 or 10 pieces of that carbo loaded snack. i still managed to stay calm. i just hate it because i only had P150 in my wallet. haha. when i came to school, i told the story to some of my friends. it's good thing my effin rich classmate al rashidy gave me P500 before we went home. i was not mugged after all. Peace!
